The Shabazz Foundation (SF) is a non-profit philanthropic organization established in 2007 by Abdul Shabazz. The focus of the foundation is to eliminate gang-retention, provide youth access to educational & recreational programs, and increase economic empowerment. The foundation is unique in that the founders are those that once faced the same challenges, dilemmas and pressures of those living in the community they plan to serve.

(1) To deter youth from gang recruitment/ participation and encourage academic & economic pursuit.
(2) To provide & connect citizens with opportunities for educational & career advancement, rehabilitation,
and outreach services.
(3) To create a healthy learning environment for mental and physical development.
